{"id":1467,"date":"2020-10-27T08:08:49","date_gmt":"2020-10-27T08:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nocoh.com\/?post_type=epkb_post_type_1&#038;p=1467"},"modified":"2022-08-17T09:59:00","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T09:59:00","slug":"my-ptz-camera-does-not-respond-to-joystick-ptz-controller-keyboard","status":"publish","type":"epkb_post_type_1","link":"https:\/\/www.sunbatech.com\/es\/faq\/my-ptz-camera-does-not-respond-to-joystick-ptz-controller-keyboard\/","title":{"rendered":"My PTZ camera does not respond to joystick\/PTZ controller\/keyboard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No matter you are using Sunba joystick and would like to control your PTZ camera from another manufacturer, or you are using other joystick to control Sunba PTZ camera, the general troubleshooting process (for the inability to gain PTZ control) should be the same:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Please first check the<strong>\u00a0+\/- polarity<\/strong>\u00a0of the camera and joystick. Try switching the order of the pair if it doesn\u2019t work.<\/li>\n<li>Please make sure your\u00a0<strong>greenish RS485 connector<\/strong>\u00a0is functional. This has happened before.<\/li>\n<li>Please make sure your\u00a0<strong>twisted pair is functional<\/strong>. You can try switching to another twisted pair if it is defective. An ethernet cable has 4 different twisted pairs that you can switch.<\/li>\n<li>Please make sure you set\u00a0the<strong>\u00a0correct soft address of the camera\u00a0<\/strong>in the PTZ Controller\/Joytick\/Keyboard. The default soft address of Sunba\u00a0camera is \u201c1\u201d. It is very easy to check Sunba camera\u2019s soft address; every time Sunba camera is powered up, the monitor will display its current soft address.
